Entered France and Flanders 13/08/1914
Captured 15/09/1914 as a prisoner of war and then released through Holland 02/01/1918.
Re-joined the Army 13/02/1918 at Ripon 30/05/1919 serving with the Labour Corps (699963) served overseas 20/06/1919 -11/8/19 and was discharged 27/11/1919 (No Longer Fit For War Service)
