First World War 1914 (Mons) Trio awarded to 4030 Shoeing Smith Corporal John Parker 3rd. Divisional Ammunition Column 100th. Brigade Royal Field Artillery. John Parker was a resident of Newcastle Upon Tyne, he joined the Army in 1900 at the age of 22 years. He disembarked on the 19th. of August 1914, France and Flanders and was discharged on the 26th. of July 1915 after suffering broken ribs from a horse kick on active service. He was also suffering from pneumonia, invalided out of service, entitled to a silver war badge. Comes with copy of service papers etc.
