Victory Medal awarded to 52731 Pte. Thomas Edgar Smethurst, Kings Liverpool Reg. Born in Oldham, Lancashire in 1881. Smethurst served for 12 years with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers until his time had expired. He re-joined the Army in September 1914 and served from 30/7/1916 until 17/9/1916 when he was invalided out of service. Thomas Smethurst died in Oldham in 1927. Comes with copies of service papers.
