WW1 Trio awarded to 926T.S. (Trawler Section) T.R. (Trimmer) George Henry Robertson, Royal Navy Reserve. Born in 1877, South Shields, R.N.R. Service commenced from 8/8/1914. Robertson served on several ships. He was sadly killed when his vessel, H.M. Trawler Hirose struck a mine off Aldeburgh, Napes, Suffolk. The Trawler sank with the loss of 10 crew on the 29th. June 1916. George Robertson was 38 years old at the time of his death and is remembered with honour on the Chatham Naval Memorial. H.M. Hirose was a hired trawler (Adty no. 3280) built in 1915 in Cardiff (Reg. No. CF44). She was armed with 1-3 Pdr. Medals come with original boxes of issue, replacement ribbons, and copies of service papers and casualty details.
