42455 Spr. William Owen Williams was born 10th. April 1894 in Barnsley, He entered the theatre of war in France on the 14th. July 1915 and was wounded in July 1918, went on class Z reserve on the 5th. July 1919. Williams worked as a builder and bricklayer after the war and during the Second World War we worked at Catterick camp as the assistant foreman of works. His camp permit is dated from 1943 and was extended into the early 1950’s.
