First World War trio awarded to 650 Sapper John Shore, 500th. Field Coy. Royal Engineers (awarded the Military Medal). Born in 1881 a resident of Bristol and platelayer by trade. Shore served for 6 years with the Royal Marines prior to WW1 but was invalided out of service. He joined the Territorial Force in 1913 and went on to serve with the British Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders and later with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force in Salonika where he won his Military Medal. John Shore also served under the service number 504099 and is entitled to a silver war badge. Comes with copy of service papers and London Gazette details.
