1914-15 Star awarded to 1403 Pte. William Robert Pearson, 1/1 Derbyshire Yeomanry. Born in Buxton, Derbyshire, Pearson was a former clerk. He joined the Army in 1910, aged 18. Pearson moved through the ranks to Squadron Quarter Master Sergeant. In April 1915 he served in Egypt, later embarking for Gallipoli in August. He suffered a gun shot wound to the head whilst fighting in Gallipoli and was sent back to Egypt and then Salonika. Disembodied 26/5/1919. Comes with copy of service papers.
