WW1 1914 (Mons) Star 3-662 Private James William Hill, Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.

Born – 24th June 1891, Kirkheaton a resident Mirfield , Yorks and later Wakefield, Yorks. Married in 1913.

Enlisted 7/12/1910 with the 3rd Battalion Territorial Force, he entered the Theatre of territorial force 18/10/1914

Later served with the 4th Battalion and later with the Army ordnance corps he was discharged 14/12/1918 and was awarded a silver war badge.

James Hill died 09/02/1929 in Wakefield.
