French Officers Cross Belt And Pouch

Ceinture et sacoche pour officiers français. There is a brass plate under the pouch flap, engraved – Mr Albert Desormeaux, Officier au 12e de Ligne. The brass pouch badge is a flaming bomb but is looks like there has been another badge there before it. There is another flaming bomb within a shield on the cross belt and a circular badge with Medusa’s head above it. All furnishings and fixings are in brass and the belt is thick leather. The pouch is leather coated wood, unfortunately the flap retaining strap is missing.
