WWI Silver War Badge
1118 Richard Rees Williams, 1ST BTN, Monmouthshire Regiment.
(T.F) A plumber from ST. Woolos, Near Newport.
He enlisted in 1909, aged 19.
Served in France and Flanders from 13/2/15.
Williams was wounded on 27/7/15.
He suffered a gun shot wound whilst in the trenches in Ypres, Belgium.
Discharged permanently unfit for active service 3/5/1916.
Awarded SWB which is hand engraved with his name as well as having the official badge number impressed.
Comes with some papers and more service documents are available online.
